The 3 Rivers Bicycle Coalition (3RBC) was formed for the purpose of improving the bicycling environment in the Tri-Cities area. The strategy to achieve this purpose is by bringing together various public leaders and organizations that can each affect change that benefits the health and safety of bicyclists. The 3RBC's efforts are part of a greater program to improve overall health and safety of all area residents through the Livable Communities initiative of the Benton Franklin Community Health Alliance.
The 3RBC is comprised of a governing Board of Directors, a Community Advisory Council, and general membership. The By-Laws of the 3RBC were assembled from examples provided by many similar organizations, particularly the Los Angeles County Bicycle Coalition, San Luis Obispo County Bicycle Coalition, and the Bicycle Alliance of Washington.
The 3RBC is incorporated as a non-profit organization in the State of Washington. The 3RBC is tax-exempt as a 501(c)(3) non-profit able to receive tax-deductible donations.
